The Board of Forestry is undertaking two major processes related to the management of the Tillamook and Clatsop State Forests.
First, the BOF is moving forward with hearings on their proposal to increase timber harvest and decrease protections for fish and wildlife. ODF has released a press release with details. Learn more here. There will be two hearings in January -- one in Salem and one in Seaside.
Second, the BOF has formed a Public Advisory Committee to provide input to the Board on the law that implements the legal mandate to provide the Greatest Permanent Value to the people of Oregon. Learn more about this process here.
